Growing old is not for sissies.

Autumn is here, although the lack of rain has left its mark. The trees' colors aren't as bright as they once were, or at least as I remember.
It also shows in some blogs/DA journals over the years. At first when the writer's are new (and I include myself in this category), we write about everything...and I mean everything. The writing is always fresh with wonderment, and excitement. As the writer grows, new ideas form, and the writing seems to lose it's sense of wonder, and instead becomes almost chore-like, resonating mundane matters and mediocrity.
It takes someone with special talent not only to write their journal, but also their prose/poetry with the eyes that see wonderment, and beyond our normal vision. I have the utmost respect and admiration for those.
They say in order to keep a youthful outlook on life, never stop learning. Guess that's my challenge to all who read this. Keep on learning....something.
